Uefa champions league shifted from Russia to Paris. After Russia was stripped of the match following its invasion of Ukraine, the 2022 Champions League final will be held in Paris. The International Olympic Committee recommends that international sports federations relocate or cancel competitions currently scheduled in Russia or Belarus.


On Friday, Russia's invasion of Ukraine reached its second day. At 9 a.m., UEFA will convene; The final of the Champions League will be shifted from St Petersburg; Gazprom is one of UEFA's major sponsors; The future of Man United's cooperation with Russian state airline Aeroflot is being considered.


Due to the worsening crisis in Ukraine, UEFA has decided to shift the Champions League final from St Petersburg, Russia, to Paris, France, on Friday.


The final was supposed to be held on May 28 at the 68,000-seat Gazprom Arena in St Petersburg, but UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin has called a "exceptional meeting" of the Executive Committee for Friday to approve the decision to move the game.


It's uncertain whether the governing body will announce a new final location. The Ukrainian FA has also requested that the 2023 UEFA Super Cup final be moved from Kazan, Russia, and that Russian teams be barred from participating in FIFA and UEFA competitions.
